Libertad para los 24 de Filton. Solidaridad con los activistas de Palestine Action

En agosto de 2024, seis activistas hicieron una acción para denunciar el centro de investigación y desarrollo Elbit Systems, en Bristol, el principal proveedor de armas a Israel y una multinacional que proporciona apoyo logístico y entrenamiento a las fuerzas de ocupación israelís. Tras la acción, la policía los detuvo en el lugar de los hechos, a ellos seis y a otros cuatro en diferentes partes del país. Durante su arresto en prisión preventiva, fueron interrogados en virtud de la Ley Antiterrorista.
En noviembre de 2024 y en julio de 2025, coincidiendo con la ilegalización de la asociación Palestine Action como organización terrorista, la policía llevó a cabo redadas de madrugada y detuvieron a 14 personas más. Este caso es conocido como los 24 de Filton.
A todos ellos se les ha tratado con extrema crueldad, han sido mantenidos en prisión sin juicio, se les negó la libertad bajo fianza, y han estado en régimen de aislamiento y trasladados arbitrariamente por funcionarios de la prisión.
En noviembre, ocho de ellos empezaron una huelga de hambre para exigir su libertad, poner fin al maltrato que sufren y demandar el cierre de las fábricas de suministran armas a Israel y derogar la prohibición de Palestine Action. Justo ayer, los tres últimos compañeros, pusieron fin a la huelga de hambre tras 61 y 68 días resistiendo, al conocerse que el Gobierno británico ha decidido romper el contrato que mantenían con Elbit System. Una medida que ha llegado tras toda la presión que ha ejercido el movimiento en Gran Bretaña y una victoria de la lucha.
El Sindicato de Estudiantes e Izquierda Revolucionaria Internacional enviamos todo nuestro apoyo y exigimos la inmediata liberación de los 24 de Filton. Tal y como hemos demostrado millones en todo el mundo, con grandes huelgas generales en Italia, jornadas históricas en el Estado español y un movimiento masivo en todos los continentes en solidaridad con Palestina, vamos a seguir luchando contra el genocidio sionista, para que los gobiernos capitalistas europeos cómplices rompan relaciones con el sionismo y para conseguir justicia para todos aquellos que han sido reprimidos por mostrar su solidaridad con el pueblo palestino.

Free the Filton 24! Solidarity with the Palestine Action members
In August 2024, six activists staged an action to denounce the Elbit Systems research and development center in Bristol, Israel's main arms supplier and a multinational corporation that provides logistical support and training to the Israeli occupation forces. Following the action, police arrested them at the scene, along with four others members of Palestine Action in different parts of the country. During their pre-trial detention, they were interrogated under the Anti-Terrorism Act.
In November 2024 and July 2025, coinciding with the banning of Palestine Action as a terrorist organization, police conducted early morning raids and arrested 14 more people. This case is known as the Filton 24.
All of them have been treated with extreme cruelty, held in prison without trial, denied bail, and subjected to solitary confinement and arbitrary transfers by prison officials.
In November, eight of them began a hunger strike to demand their freedom, an end to the mistreatment they suffer, and the closure of factories supplying weapons to Israel, as well as the repeal of the ban on Palestine Action. Just yesterday, the last three comrades ended their hunger strike after 61 and 68 days of resistance, when the news that the British government of Keir Starmer has decided to end their contract with Elbit Systems dropped in the media. This measure comes after all the pressure done by the pro-Palestine movement in the United Kingdom and represents a victory for the struggle.
The Sindicato de Estudiants (students union in the Spanish State) and the International Revolutionary Left send our full support and demand the immediate release of the Filton 24. As millions of us around the world have demonstrated, with massive general strikes in Italy, historic demonstrations in Spain, and a massive movement across every continent in solidarity with Palestine, we will continue fighting against the Zionist genocide, demanding that complicit European capitalist governments break off ties with Zionism and achieving justice for all those who have been repressed for showing their solidarity with the Palestinian people.
